I’ve known Eddie for quite sometime now. Its seems as if his life is constantly changing and moving locations but his focus always stays the same, doing whatever it takes for people to hear what he calls the “best story ever”.
As a speaker, he presents the word in a way that is relevant and relational but most importantly, truthful. God has truly given him the gifts to communicate the gospel message to virtually any age, all with one goal in mind and that is seeing peoples’ lives radically changed by Jesus. At camp, retreats, D-NOW weekend or whatever the event may be it is not a surprise to see him come in sweating like crazy 10 minutes before the service. He understands that the biggest investment he will make during that week or weekend won’t happen from the platform or stage, it will be during a football game or some other random activity, or from just going crazy outside from no reason at all with a group of students, hoping they will see him as a real person who is in love with Jesus and not just some random speaker for the week.
As a man, he is a worshiper first. To be real and genuine isn’t just an idea or a thought to him, it is his lifestyle. Eddie truly lives and believes the words that he speaks about. I guess to put it in perspective he is a worshipper that happens to speak.
